The Quintessential Soul Concert   
is a facet of the ongoing “Great Migration – Indiscernibles in Arizona” project;
which is a multimedia examination, acknowledgement and dissemination   
of how Black people came to settle in Arizona, as well as their past and present-day experiences and contributions as Arizonans.  

The Quintessential Soul Concert highlights the seminal music brought to Arizona by African American Migrants and African Immigrants (throughout the diaspora), and honors past and present musical artists. The day will offer the following genres:
Yoruba Drumming
Caribbean Steel Pan
Gospel
Blues
Jazz
R&B
HipHop.

$10 Children 12 years and under

A Quintessential Soul Big Band has been assembled and will perform under the musical direction of local icon Gabriel Bey.

Eventually these performers will tour Arizona paying tribute to The Ancestors and performing an array of music for the enjoyment of all ages; often in communities that do not get to experience live music .
